Sierra Pacific Group initially collaborated with Terminal B on a ConnectWise to QuickBooks Integration Project. These projects are tailored for busy IT/MSP companies using the ConnectWise PSA system and QuickBooks, but haven't fully optimized their features, leveraged automation, or configured the tools according to established Proven Process.

Upon completion of the project, Terminal B maintained their partnership with SPG by purchasing Block-Time. This service enabled Terminal B to continue working with SPG as needed.

The Problem

Terminal B's ConnectWise System Accumulated a Decade of Inefficiencies

Terminal B initially acquired ConnectWise Manage and Automate in 2008. As described by Greg Bibeau, Founder & CEO of Terminal B, the software was "quite robust." However, they never received proper guidance on configuring their setup from implementation, which led to a decade of accumulating inefficiencies within the system.

Upon recognizing the severity of the issue, Terminal B hired "hands off" consultants to address the gaps and provide guidance. Unfortunately, what Terminal B really needed was "hands on" configuration to ensure that the advice and guidance he was being provided was actually being implemented.

Due to capacity restraints, this resource proved to be ineffective and occasionally unresponsive. Seeking a reliable solution, Terminal B turned to Sierra Pacific Group for their expertise and dependable execution.

The Solution

Harness SPG's Expertise for Customized, Long-term ConnectWise Solutions

Terminal B faced challenges in their financial processes and sought to integrate ConnectWise Manage with QuickBooks to enhance efficiency and streamline operations. Sierra Pacific Group was brought on board to provide expertise and guide Terminal B through the integration and setup process.

Finance Module and QuickBooks Integration:

  • Reviewed Terminal B's finance module and integrated QuickBooks with ConnectWise Manage
  • Assessed the Chart of Accounts (COA) and suggested changes for proper mapping
  • Updated categories and subcategories in setup tables
  • Mapped the Chart of Accounts in Manage
  • Connected third-party applications with Manage and QuickBooks Online (QBO)


Invoicing and Agreement Setup:

  • Analyzed Terminal B's system to identify necessary cleanup for invoicing through Manage
  • Set up billing items, including invoice templates, email templates, and billing setup tables
  • Trained Terminal B's team on cleanup, agreement setup, invoicing, and updating time, product, and expense entries during billing
  • Assisted with Terminal B's first billing cycle and provided Q&A support

Procurement Module Optimization:

  • Reviewed Terminal B's procurement module to identify required cleanup for utilizing the module
  • Set up procurement setup tables and trained Terminal B on procurement process and cleanup
  • Guided Terminal B on the Sales to Service handoff, tracking POs, and managing serial numbers
  • Reviewed GL Mapping and updated Cost of Goods Sold (COGS)
